Increase Quality Assurance With Our Filling Machine Inspection System
You can increase your quality assurance with our filling machine inspection system, SureCount. Ascend’s SureCount inspection system mounts directly to your high-speed slat filler to provide an extra level of quality assurance for every bottle. SureCount ensures you have an accurate number of tablets or capsules in every bottle. If a bottle isn’t filled accurately, the system rejects the bottle and removes it from the conveyor.
How the SureCount Inspection System Works
The SureCount inspection system is equipped with five different modules:
- The sensor head
- The light head
- The control software
- The reject system
- The air knife
Once the system is in place, the light and sensor heads work together to shine an infrared light beam through a hole at the bottom of each slat cavity. The beam is detected if a tablet or capsule is missing from the slat. Then, the control software monitors the sensor and quickly makes an accept or reject decision for each bottle according to your preset recipe-controlled parameters. The reject station removes the designated bottle from the conveyor if the system rejects a bottle due to count inaccuracy. Then, the air knife blows air through the holes in the empty slats to ensure there’s no buildup of dust in the holes. A secondary Tablet Verification System can be provided after the manifold to verify all tablets are emptied of the slats into the bottle.
